Totems appear in the game as monsters, and also as allies created by certain skills. Like any other creature, totems have life, and they will be destroyed if their life drops to zero. Totems do not leave exploitable corpses.

Do summons count as allies Poe?
Minions count as allies but not as party members. However, the Minions of your party members do count as allies as well. Effects that provide buffs to allies, such as war cries, will therefore work with Minions.
Do Skitterbots count as allies?
If I summon a zombie or another minion we DO get the onslaught, so its just that skitterbots are not counting as allies. In the wiki it says that minions are allies and this holds true for other minions, even those who reserve mana like HoA.
How many totems can you have Poe?
You can only have 1 totem up at a time, unless you get the passive Ancestral Bond to the left of the Templar start area. That allows you to cast a 2nd totem, but you cannot do damage yourself (you can still use traps/mines/minions for other damage).

Can totems get onslaught?
The totems get Onslaught, but it doesn't benefit them in any way to have Onslaught since they use your offensive stats to use your skills, not their own.

so accuracy might not be a huge factor . Having + 2 to a minion gem would only bump up its chance to hit from like 67% to 70% as opposed to additional accuracy which would be bumping it up to 88% chance to hit or something. That is assuming that minions are at the monster level of the required level of the gem.
Do heralds affect minions Poe?
The auras only apply to your spells. Your spell is casting the minion, but the minion itself. If they add a spell that both damages and creates a minion, that spell could proc a herald, otherwise it doesn't work.
Does harmony of purpose work with minions?
Remember, Harmony of Purpose doesn't work with Minions, because minions don't count as party members.
